Gosh, don't yous only love it when an accommodation takes its source fabric and systematically strips it of everything that fabricated it unique until what's left is a story that doesn't stand out in whatever manner whatsoever? I sure don't!Wait, I go it - the original novel is nighttime and information technology deals with upsetting and sensitive material. Only its those things that set it apart from its brethren and make Violette more than only another reformed villainess, because the novel makes yous question whether she ever was the real villain in the beginning place. Past robbing the story of nigh of Violette's trauma and fast-tracking the plot, it becomes just another story in a very crowded genre, full of cookie-cutter characters rather than people with their ain motivations and inner lives.
I might have liked this more had I not read the novel commencement, so if yous're planning to read both, commencement here for less disappointment. But if you're just going to read one version, go for the original. This is a case where information technology really is meliorate.

What an fantabulous read this was! I remember picking this up for the cover during a manga shopping video I filmed and because I remembered a friend recommended it on her Instagram. Even so, I distinctly remember this also being effectually the time that I started showing more interest in the reincarnated-as-the-villainess trope, merely was leery to try that "genre" and chose this ane since fourth dimension rewinds back a year.
In a way, I recollect I enjoyed this more? Well, maybe not more per say , but it was different considering Violette isn't trying to correct the wrongs of anyone who had suddenly died. In that location is no irresolute of memories and trying to figure out what happened. It'southward more of Violette is still the same person, just now has the strong desire to not make the aforementioned mistakes that led her to prison the first time. Even with going dorsum in time, she still doesn't beloved her half-sis despite her second chance, and for that, I was very intrigued.
This was a fairly quick read since it's not a long manga, merely I also devoured that last portion of the book! I really enjoyed how things are not what they were from when Violette remembers because now her "practiced" actions are changing things effectually her, including how people react. It is and then good and loving that "twist"!
With that, I'm going to add together that I am hardcore #TeamYulan! I will exist SO bummed if he is non the one Violette chooses in the end. Prince Claudia seems he volition have a change of heart and don't call back a certain someone that is not Yulan or Claudia volition actually be a potential honey interest? Goodness, I hope not! (Even though I like the character well enough.) I just really love her friendship with Yulan and appreciated that bonus affiliate/story at the end. I would fifty-fifty be content with them just staying best friends and nil more. Just please don't permit Violette end up with Prince Claudia or anyone else!
The art in this manga is absolutely stunning! Information technology has a lightness that I actually enjoyed. And speaking of, while I take heard the manga version is a MUCH lighter version of the light novel, I actually enjoyed and appreciated the lighter tones. It was a good read when I needed something a lilliputian lighter!
I'll definitely be ordering volume two equally soon as I can and keeping upward with future releases hence forth as I must know what happens side by side!

This was a lot better than I thought! I was afraid this was going to be a shameless "My Side by side Life as a Villainness..." knock off, simply it definitely has enough of its own ideas to stand on its own. The 2 things I loved the well-nigh was how important self-reflection played a role and how knightly is seen in serial similar these. While Violette has to reflect on her actions in order to avert making the same mistakes, what I capeesh is that she acknowledges that what she did was wrong. Not just that, but she even admits at times that its understandable how she got into the situation she was in because of her past actions. Granted, I feel like this would hold more than weight if readers really got to Meet the terrible stuff Violette did to Maryjune or Claudia, simply what'due south done is done. Still, I appreciate her giving her past serious thought and properly acknowledging what she did wrong and why it was incorrect.
I actually appreciated Yulan calling out Claudia for his supposed "chivalry" likewise every bit opening up that word in the series. It hadn't occurred to me until Violette and Yulan brought it up, only in situations similar these (Violette bullying Maryjune, Claudia continuing upward for her and falling in dear with her) how common however absurd it is. It pretty much shows that Claudia, and other men who comport similar him, aren't interested in girls like Maryjune as much as readers think; he'due south just playing the role of the white knight, saving and protecting the damsel-in-distress from her enemies. Just as this serial shows, when Maryjune isn't in that state of affairs, Claudia has no interest in her. I know this isn't annihilation new and I'm sure other entertainment mediums have discussed this, but I appreciate it being brought up mostly because I didn't wait it.
Anyhow, I really enjoyed this beginning volume and am looking forward to more. If you're looking for a fun historical romance with a night undertone, requite this a try.

Violette was sentenced to death for attempting murder on her half-sister. Still, she was eventually placed in jail due to her immature sister's mercy. While in her jail cell, Violette wishes she could re-do her life. That wish comes true.

Flashing back a twelvemonth prior to the sentence, she is able to re-do her actions and change her ending. I have to say while I practice not agree with the actions Violette previously makes in her by, I practise empathise where she is coming from equally a child who was practically neglected/thrown to the side. (view spoiler)[ Her male parent has an affair with his concubine which results in her little sister, he creates a new family while treating Violette with a cold disdain and her mother, on her expiry bed, states her she wanted her hubby not her girl next to her. (hide spoiler)].
I actually actually dear Violette as a character so far. Her little sister is neat either. I'm enjoying seeing Violette open up her eyes towards the world she missed every bit she was blinded by her acrimony previously. It is as well interesting to watch how the prince is in somewhat turmoil with his feelings towards her. I usually dislike the idea or possibility of dearest triangles, but I do not mind this one.
Likewise, I'thousand excited to see where this goes.
...more thanI really enjoyed reading this! I can't wait for the next volumes. I absolutely beloved the otome isekai genre.
I Swear I Won't Bother You Again! follows our MC, Violette, who is guilty of attempting to murder her younger one-half-sister out of a fit of jealousy. In her last moment, she is taken back in time when her sister was get-go introduced in her life. Violette decides to take this opportunity to avert repeating her previous mistakes that ultimately led to her death.

I Swear I Won't Carp Yous Once more! follows our MC, Violette, who is guilty of attempting to murder her younger one-half-sis out of a fit of jealousy. In her last moment, she is taken back in time when her sister was outset introduced in her life. Violette decides to take this opportunity to avoid repeating her previous mistakes that ultimately led to her death.
When I first read information technology, I idea information technology was really refreshing to see the story's unique take within the larger otome isekai genre. That is to say, in that location are a lot of series that focus on our principal heroine being reincarnated into a romance game or novel usually as the villainess or side grapheme. Withal, this was the start serial where I saw the main incident beingness related to time travel rather than reincarnation. Notwithstanding, information technology still hits the same beats as previous reincarnation stories.
I won't lie, I don't think everyone will be interested in this series. However, if y'all really like the genre or enjoyed My Next Life as A Villainess, then I'd recommend picking this one up!
...moreOh by the mode. Can't we not have the prince for similar, a chapter? He'due south so unlikable, REALLY. And please, Japan, please acquire that latin names have feminine and masculine forms. All the boys with names in female person class made me CRINGE, because I really alive in a place were they are used. Try finding someone born male that was named Claudia, I claiming you.
